Dhaka Electric Supply Company (DESCO) Limited entrusted with the responsibilities of operation, maintenance & development of the power system network and distribution of electricity within most of the areas of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Purbachal and part of Tongi area. DESCO invites application from eligible candidate for appointment in the following posts on contractual basis.

  • At least graduate in Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from any recognized university.

  • Must demonstrate strong Participatory leadership ability.

House rent @ 50/60% of basic per month as per pay scale-2016, two festival bonuses in a year, recognized provident fund, group insurance, encashment of earned leave and gratuity as per applicable rules of the company, medical allowances and transport allowances will be provided as per company policy. Income tax shall have to be paid by the employee.

General Conditions:

1. Age limit as on 03/12/2018 is maximum 30 years for all post except Special Guard, for the post of Special Guard is maximum 40 years.

2. Age limit for applicants from amongst Freedom Fighter's children/grand children will be relaxed by 2 (two) years. However candidates will be required to furnish along with their applications relevant valid documents from competent authority as per provisions of the Govt. rules/policies in this regard.

3. Age limit is relaxable up to 40 years for internal candidates subject to fulfilling requisite educational qualifications.

4. Affidavit with respect to age will not be accepted.

5. Candidates in service will be required to apply through proper channel.

6. Incorrect/incomplete applications and applications received after deadline will not be entertained and liable for rejection.

7. Only short-listed candidates will be called for test/interview.

8. Persuasion of any kind will disqualify the candidature.

9. The appointing authority reserves the right to decline any of the post, accept or reject any application and increase or decrease number of posts/positions as it may seem proper and no explanation for such action will be provided to the applicant.

10. Candidates, applied against job circular published on 29/06/2018, need not to apply for the same post.

(i) Interested candidates have to apply through the 'Online Application Form' wherein a scanned photograph, signature and last/ highest educational certificate, freedom fighter's certificate of parents or grandparents as applicable of the candidate have to be uploaded in due places. (ii) The applicant must pay Tk.1500/- (One Thousand five hundred) for the posts under Sl. No.-1 to 5, Tk.1000/- (One Thousand) for Sl. No 6 to 15 through Dutch Bangla Bank Ltd.( DBBL) Rocket service with following necessary directives mentioned in DESCO's website (www.desco.org.bd).
